Local Research Projects Group

For our first project we are investigating the changes and growth of Stanford-le-Hope from 1950, including shops, industry, financial services, pubs, churches, transport and entertainment.

As the research phase of our project is ending, we need to look at the wide range of information we have, discuss the next steps and the end goal.

If you have any original photos of Stanford in the 1950s and 1960s that you would be prepared for us to use in a publication, especially shops and local businesses, which have not been on Facebook or on published CDs, please could you get in touch.
