    Membership Fees
    The Basic Membership Fee for the SLH&D u3a is £15.00, and if allowed, Gift Aid will be claimed on this amount. This fee secures membership of the u3a only and does not secure rights to personal use of any facilities or services provided by the u3a. This fee also includes a £4.00 fee that is paid to the Third Age Trust, the national organisation that supports u3a's in the UK. The Trust provides a wide range of services and benefits including liability insurance cover.

    u3a matters Magazine
    In addition, you can subscribe to receive a copy of the Third Age Trust's publication, u3a matters five times a year, delivered to your home address for an additional £5:00.

    How to Join

    The preferred way to join Stanford-le-Hope and District u3a, is to complete the Membership Application Form, selecting the Bank Transfer option to pay the Membership Fee.

    When you press the SUBMIT button, you will receive an email, acknowledging we have your application and request you make the Bank Transfer as soon as possible.

    To pay by Bank Transfer, please make the required payment to Stanford-le-Hope and District u3a using the following details.

    Other Joining Methods

    Complete the Membership Application Form and select your alternative payment method.

    When you press the SUBMIT button, you will receive an email acknowledging we have your application.

    At the next General Meeting, please pay directly to the Membership Secretary using Cheque, Cash or a Bank Card. Please make cheques payable to Stanford-le-Hope and District u3a.

    When we have your payment and processed your application, you can collect your membership card at a General Meeting.

    TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP

    All members must:

    • Abide by the Principles of the u3a movement.
    • Always act in the best interests of the u3a and never do anything to bring the u3a into disrepute.
    • Abide by the terms and conditions of the Stanford le Hope and District u3a
    • Treat fellow members with respect and courtesy at all times
    • .Comply with and support the decisions of the elected committee.
    • Advise the Membership Secretary of any change in your personal details.

    PRIVACY STATEMENT

    Stanford-le-Hope and District u3a processes member information so that we can keep you informed about events, groups and activities as part of your membership. Stanford-le-Hope and District u3a’s lawful basis for collecting this information is legitimate interest/contract.
    In processing your information Stanford-le-Hope and District u3a will:

    • Use it to communicate with you as a u3a member.
    • Share your information with group leaders/convenors for those groups that you are a member of.
