Our speaker for Thursday 11th December 2025 is Howard Slater. Howard’s talk is, “André Rieu at Christmas” – Experience the festive magic of Rieu’s holiday concerts, featuring carols and snowy elegance.
General Meeting changes
We are trialing some changes to next the General Meeting. Doors will open as usual at 1.30pm and ticket sales will commence at that time in the front corner of the Hall. Teas and coffees will be served from 2.00pm to 2.15pm. This allows 45 minutes for ticket sales.
Membership Renewals
Last month, we advised that membership renewal forms will be available at the December meeting. However, we still considering how best to progress the membership renewal process, so the forms will now not be available until January. The committee is pleased to report that it has decided not to increase membership fees for the coming year, April 2026 to March 2027. So, fees will remain at £15-00 per member.
Our December General Meeting is your opportunity to show off your latest Christmas jumper, shirt or cardigan. We would like to see as many members dressed in festive clothes as possible. Let’s all have some fun!

Please ensure you fill out a booking form prior to the day of the general meeting. Booking forms can be found at the back of most editions of the newsletter or can be downloaded from the this website. (Note- only two tickets can be booked at the same time.)

Theatre Trips
Our next theatre trip is to see the Producers - a musical comedy - on 5th March @ £58 pp. We still have a few tickets left. I have heard very favourable reviews.
