Lindsey’s talk is called, 'Burlesque, Me and the WI’
Lindsey does a fabulously funny and heart-warming talk that covers how she discovered burlesque, and then the WI, and brought the two worlds together.
From empty nest to huge success, and via dance classes and craft sessions, Lindsey will take you on a journey that a lot of us can relate to.
This is a humorous talk that illustrates how even the most diverse of topics can epitomise the Fun, Friendship and Education ethos of the WI. (and hopefully of our u3a!)
Our 2025 AGM is on Thursday 11th September. A reminder, that you have to complete Motion Forms (i.e. for changes or differences) for our AGM by the close of the General Meeting on Thursday, 12th June. Don’t forget that a new Treasurer is essential for our u3a to keep running.
River Lee, Hidden Hertfordshire Cruise Tuesday 12th August '25
We have been very lucky in securing this superb cruise on the River Lee.Our trip will start with a delicious Fish and Chip meal served on board followed by tea or coffee. There is also a fully licensed bar on board.
On the cruise we will pass the unique Ware Gazebos that overhang the river’s edge before cruising through the contrasting town centre and the beautiful Lee Valley's Amwell Nature Reserve.
This cruise will last for approximately 3 hours. The total cost, including driver’s tips is £55.00. we will accept cheques payable to "SLH U3a" or Cash
